How does your body actually deal with stress? Are your supplements or diet is REALLY working? Is your nervous system balanced? The answer to these questions and more can be found in a 5 minute test at our office with the HRV – Heart Rate Variability monitor. Heart rate variability is a monitor of overall health and well-being, and a low variability reading can also be a predictor of cardiac risk and overall health and mortality. Can a simple test really reveal all this? Yes. Is there any science behind this? Try over 2,000 publications this last decade alone based on MEDLINE search, key word ‘HRV’. Originally researched to evaluate stress on Russian cosmonauts during the space program, this technology is now available in our office. We’ve find it an objective tool for guiding people back to health and wellness. The advanced HRV software system used at HealthQuest also has a unique ability to digitally assess the body’s meridian and chakra systems and show it graphically! Learn more…

The class IV laser treatments at HealthQuest have significantly lessened my osteoarthritis pain in both my knees, and I am much more stable on the stairs as well as on the golf course!
Having gone to many Chiro’s over the years I can tell you that Greg is at the top of his game and is one that doesn’t simply want to snap crackle and pop you but actually get you well. His nutritional knowledge is among the best and his knowledge of supplements and herbal remedies is unbelievable.
I’ve been receiving annual bone density scans. The recent combination of Dr. Barsten’s guidance on diet, nutrition, specific exercises, etc., has made a huge difference, an incredible difference. My most recent scan showed I was not only able to stop the bone loss, but actually gain bone density back. This is something my OB-GYN physician called both remarkable and surprising, given that I did not take prescription medications for osteoporosis. I am so glad I listened to you. I cannot thank you enough.
In 1995, Dr. Greg Barsten gave a lecture on nutrition and cancer at The Cancer Support and Education Center in Menlo Park. I had just finished radiation treatment for my third bout with metastatic breast cancer. I asked him to work with me, and he’s been working with me ever since. Well, now it’s 2012, and I’ve turned out to be my oncologist’s poster child. I’m not saying that Dr. Barsten works miracles, but I sure feel like he’s worked one with me.
Following Dr. Barsten’s advice after major surgery last year was one of the best decisions I have ever made. My surgeon was amazed at the speed and extent of my healing. He said at 3 weeks after surgery, I was where the typical patient is at 3 months! The benefits from following Dr. Barsten’s advice have extended far beyond healing from the procedure. I feel energetic, old blemishes on my skin have faded, my digestion has improved and overall I feel better than ever. I am grateful that I found my way to Dr. Barsten and would highly recommend him to anybody wanting to address specific health concerns or invest in their overall well being.
Greg is fabulous. You always hear horror stories about people who go to chiropractors every week for years on end. With Greg, he can usually fix what ails you in one or two visits. I’ve recommended him to friends, and all of them were pleased.
